Cheesy Breakfast Casserole

|2 pkg||12 oz. ea. breakfast sausage links|
|6||english muffins, cut into 1-in. cubes|
|1/4 c||butter, melted|
|1 c||cheddar cheese, shredded|
|1 c||mozzarella cheese, shredded|
|1/2 c||onion, chopped|
|salt & pepper to taste.|
|1/4 c||bacon bits|
|red or green pepper opt.|

DirectionsCook Sausage according to pkg. directions. Cool slightly; cut into 1/4-in. slices. In a greased 13x9 in baking dish, layer half the English muffin cubes & half the cooked sausage. Repeat layers~!Drizzle with butter & top with the cheese, onion, (this is where I added some ham or bacon.)In a lg. bowl, combine the eggs, milk, salt & pepper. Pour over casserole. Sprinkle with Bacon.Cover & refrigerate overnite.
Remove from the refrigerator 30 min. before baking. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 min., or until knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let stand 5 min.
