Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed until light and fluffy.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir flour mix into creamed mixture alternately with milk. (Do not over mix, batter should be lumpy)
Spoon batter into a greased 6 cup bundt pan.
Bake at 350 45-50 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean.
