Pineapple Nut Bread

This bread is so good. My Mother made this for holidays and a "special treat".

Ingredients

1-3/4 c
sifted flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
soda
1/2 c
raisins
3/4 c
chopped walnuts
3/4 c
sugar
3 Tbsp
butter
2
eggs
1 can(s)
(8oz) can crushed pineapple, not drained

Directions Step-By-Step

Put raisins in bowl. Cover with boiling water to plump. Drain water and throw away.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in pineapple.

Sift in dry ingredients and mix well.

Add raisins and nuts. Place in greased bread pan and top with topping. (2 tbsp sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, mixed). Bake 350 degrees 60 to 70 minutes.
