Overnight French Toast

Ingredients

TOAST:
1 loaf french bread, sliced
6 large eggs
1 1/2 c milk
1 1/2 c half and half
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
TOPPING:
1 c brown sugar, packed
1 c pecans, chopped
1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
2 Tbsp maple syrup

For the toast: Arrange bread in a lightly greased 13x9 inch baking dish and set aside.

Beat remaining ingredients together; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, combine topping ingredients and spread over bread.

Bake for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
