My Pumpkin Bread

I love pumpkin bread along with a nice hot cup of tea. I have tweaked this recipe to perfection. It's great on a cold winter day, and a hit at bake sales. I hope everyone enjoys!

Ingredients

5 c
all purpose flour
3/4 tsp
baking powder
3 tsp
baking soda
2 1/4 tsp
salt
1 1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1 c
butter, softened
4 c
sugar
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
6
large eggs
3 c
canned pumpkin
1 c
water
1 1/2 c
chopped pecans

Step-By-Step

11. Grease three 9x5x3-inch loaf pans

22. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

33. Sift together dry ingredients; set aside

44. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla.

55. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition

66. Add pumpkin; mix well.

77. Sift in dry ingredients alternating with water

88. Mix until smooth.

99. Fold in nuts

1010. Turn batter into prepared pans.

1111. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes.

12Enjoy! I also take soften butter and add brown sugar and cinnamon. Once added to the warm bread , it makes for a wonderful treat!
