Maybe because I live in Michigan, but I sure do love Maple stuff!

Ingredients

2 1/2 c
flour, sifted
1 c
sugar
3 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1 c
milk
1
egg, well beaten
3/4 tsp
mapleline or maple flavoring
1 c
nuts, chopped

Directions Step-By-Step

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan.

Sift dry ingredients into bowl and then add milk, egg and maple flavoring. Mix only until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in nuts.

Pour into greased pan and bake for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean from center.

This bread has a very mild maple flavor. It is good for anytime, but having it for breakfast, slathered in butter and toasted in a skillet and served with a fresh
fruit cup is very tasty. Afternoon tea with tea-wonderful as well. I like to use
pure maple flavoring instead of just an extract, if available.
