Ingredients

1/2 c
westsoy soy slender vanilla soy milk
1/4 c
vegetable oil
1 Tbsp
honey
2 c
soy flour
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1 pkg
(1/4 oz) active dry yeast
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
ground nutmeg
1/2 c
egg substitute
1
firm-ripe anjou or bosc pear, pared, cored and chopped
**vegetable oil for deep-frying**
**splenda or your favorite sugar substitute**

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine milk, 1/4 cup oil and honey in a saucepan; heat to 120 degrees F.

Combine flours, yeast, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in a mixing bowl. Add hot milk mixture, mix thoroughly. Dough will be stiff. Add egg substitute, beat well. Stir in pears. Cover and let rise in a warm place about 1 hour or until doubled.

Deep-fry 2 heaping tablespoonfuls at 375 degrees F in 2-inches oil until nicely browned, turn once. Drain on paper towels; shake with splenda to serve.
