Breakfast Butter Ring

I make this every Christmas morning...It has become a tradition! On Mother's Day this year, we were invited to my son's for breakfast. He was cooking! I decided to contribute the butter ring to round out his feast.
I tried to download a pic of this, but wasnt successful...too bad..its so pretty!

Ingredients

1 pkg
active dry yeast, dissolve in 1/4 c warm water

MIX TOGETHER

2 Tbsp
sugar
1 tsp
salt
3 c
flour

CUT IN

1 stick
butter (not margarine)

COMBINE

1 c
heavy cream
3
egg yolks

Directions Step-By-Step

ADD TO FLOUR MIXTURE, ADD YEAST MIXTURE. MIX WELL. DOUGH WILL BE STICKY. FORM INTO A BALL AND COVER BOWL WITH PLASTIC WRAP AND REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT.
DIVIDE IN HALF AND THEN INTO THIRDS. FORM EACH THIRD INTO A ROPE AND BRAID TOGETHER. FORM A RING. LET RISE ON GREASED PAN FOR 2 HOURS.
BAKE @ 350 DEGREES 30 MINUTES
WHILE STILL WARM BLOP JAM OR PRESERVES ON TOP, DRIZZLE WITH POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE AND SPRINKLE WITH SLIVERED ALMONDS.
