Ingredients

1 c
granulated sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 c
butter or margerine(1 stick)
3 large
mashed ripe bananas
2 large
beaten eggs
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
2 1/3 c
flour
2/3 c
chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c
applesauce, unsweetened

Step-By-Step

1cream sugar, butter, vanilla extract and salt
2add eggs, bananas and applesauce. beat just till mixed.
3add flour, baking soda and spices. mix lightly. add nuts and mix just till blended.
4pour into greased loaf pan. bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 60 to 70 minutes till golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean.
5remove from pan immediately and cool. drizzle with powdered sugar icing if desired.
