This is my grandma's recipe It's the best banana bread ever, it's soft and moist and yummy with a cup or so of chocolate chips.

Ingredients

1 c
sugar
1/2 c
butter flavor shortening
2
eggs
1 1/2 c
mashed bananas (about 3-4 bananas)
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
all-purpose flour
3 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350.
2In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar, add eggs one at a time, add vanilla, banana, and lemon juice.
3In a medium bowl sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add flour mixture to banana mixture in three additions beat until just combine.
4Pour batter into a greased and floured 9" by 5" metal loaf pan and until a toothpick inserted comes out clean about 50-55 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
