* Mexican Cornbread

I can not claim this recipe... it is my husbands. He taught me how to make it. I will get a picture later this week.

2 pkg
jffy cornbread
1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1 medium
chopped onion
1 medium
chopped bell pepper
1 lb
velveta cheese cubed
can creamed corn
jalapeno pepper chopped
1 tsp
oregano, dried
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
chili powder


1cook meat spices, onion and peppers together until meat is brown. drain meat well.
2In a bowl put 2 pkg of cornbread and creamed corn.
3Pour 1/2 the batter in a cake pan. Top with meat then top the meat with small cubes of the velveta. The more cheese the better :)
4Cover the dish with the remaining batter.
5cook uncovered in the oven at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until the bread is slightly browned on top.
