This recipe came from Cuisinart but it works perfectly in my ZO and I expect that it will in any machine. It does make a 2 lb loaf so you'll need a machine with a capacity for this much OR trim back on the ingredient amounts to best fit your machine.

Ingredients For buttermilk whole wheat bread with currants (abm)

  • 1 1/2 c
    buttermilk, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    maple syrup or liquid honey
  • 4 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp
    vital wheat gluten
  • 2/3 c
    currants
  • 2 1/4 tsp
    yeast, active dry, instant or bread machine

How To Make buttermilk whole wheat bread with currants (abm)

    Place all ingredients, in the order listed, in the bread pan fitted with the kneading paddle. Secure the bread pan in the bread maker.

    Press the menu button to select the Whole Wheat program. Press loaf size and crust color buttons to select both size and crust preference. Start the machine.

    Enjoy your fresh made bread.
