butter or margarine, softened

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
3Beat in egg yolks.
4In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with lemon juice.
5In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter.
6Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups 2/3 full.
7Combine streusel ingredients; sprinkle over muffins.
8Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until muffins test done.
9Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
