Ingredients
| 1 c | butter or margarine, softened |
| 1 c | sugar |
| 4 | eggs, separated |
| 2 c | all-purpose flour |
| 2 tsp | baking powder |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1/2 c | lemon juice |
| STREUSEL TOPPING | |
| 1/4 c | finely chopped nuts |
| 2 Tbsp | all-purpose flour |
| 2 Tbsp | brown sugar |
| 1/4 tsp | ground nutmeg |

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.Beat in egg yolks.In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with lemon juice.In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter.Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups 2/3 full.Combine streusel ingredients; sprinkle over muffins.Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until muffins test done.Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
