Ingredients

1/2 c
real butter, softened
1 1/2 c
sugar
2 large
eggs
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract
2 c
all-purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
3/4 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmeg, freshly grated
1/3 c
buttermilk
3
bananas, riped and mashed well
1 1/2 c
pecans, chopped fine & toasted

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease two 9 x 5 x 3" loaf pans. Set aside.
2Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one a time, beating until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
3Sift flour with spices; add to butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Mix until well mixed.
4Fold in bananas and nuts. Divide batter between pans.
5Bake 1 1/4 hours, or 1 hour & 15 minutes. Cool before slicing.
