Malinda's Story

We made these last night at a 1700's recreation dinner. Its kind of like a crape made with cornmeal. The recipe was from the 1st cookbook published in America.

Ingredients

1 qt
milk
2 c
corn meal
4 Tbsp
flour
4
eggs
pinch
salt

Directions Step-By-Step

beat ingredients together. Cook as you would a pancake - hot pan with some butter. Serve as is or with maple syurp

    Everytime I try to bake it in the oven I end up with a two-layer cake... It seems that the corn meal doesn't mix with the other ingredients quite well... What am I doing wrong?!
