Peach Nut Bread

An irresistible, delicious, easy to make, moist bread. Can use an orange glaze over it to bring it to the next level. You can also use a nut topping instead of the glaze.

Ingredients

2 c
flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
3/4 c
sugar
1/3 c
butter
2
eggs
1/4 c
buttermilk or peach nectar or orange juice
1 c
peaches, mashed, drained canned
1/2 tsp
orange extract
1 c
nuts
1 tsp
cinnamon (optional)

NUT TOPPING

2 Tbsp
chopped nuts
2 Tbsp
brown sugar

ORANGE GLAZE

3/4 c
powdered sugar
2 Tbsp
orange juice

Step-By-Step

1Sift dry ingredients; set aside.

2Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and orange extraxt; beat well.

3Stir in buttermilk and mashed drained canned peaches.

4Add the dry ingredients, mixing until all dry particles are moistened.
Fold in nuts.

5Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 X 5 inch loaf pan. Combine topping; sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

6Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.
Glaze option:
While baking, stir orange juice and powdered sugar until combined.
Drizzle glaze over top of bread when bread is cool.
