Delicious Buttermilk Banana Bread

The secret ingredient in this bread is buttermilk, which makes the bread so moist and flavorful. This is still my family's favorite banana bread and I've tried many banana bread recipes.

Ingredients

1 c
mashed ripe bananas
2
eggs
1 3/4 c
flour
1 1/2 c
sugar
1/2-1 c
chopped nuts
1/2 c
oil
1/4 c
plus 1 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
vanilla
1/2 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1Combine dry ingredients and sugar.

2In another bowl, combine eggs, bananas, oil, buttermilk and vanilla.

3Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Fold in nuts.

4Pour into a greased and floured 9 X 5 inch pan.
Bake at 325 degrees about 1 hour and 15 minutes .
