Honey Whole Grain Wheat Bread

I use my bread machine to mix and rise the dough, then I bake it in the oven in a bread pan.

The prep and cook times below are for my method of making this bread as mentioned above. If you would like to do the whole thing in your bread machine, go by your manufacturer's time for the whole wheat bread cycle.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
warm water (hot from the tap)
2 Tbsp
olive oil
3 Tbsp
honey
3 1/4 c
whole wheat flour (i use king arthur brand)
1/2 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
vital wheat gluten
2 Tbsp
flax seed meal
3 Tbsp
whole grain dough enhancer (i use king arthur brand)
2 1/4 tsp
active dry yeast

Step-By-Step

1Follow your bread machine's general instructions for adding ingredients. Some say to put wet ingredients in first, then dry, then the yeast (mine does).
2Set bread machine to dough setting and turn on.
3When there is approximately 15 minutes left on the dough cycle, preheat the oven and spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
4When dough is ready, remove from bread machine and form into loaf shape. Place in loaf pan and bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
