cooking spray or shortening

1/2 cor more, chopped nuts (optional)

2 call-purpose flour or unbleached all-purpose flour

4 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspcinnamon

1/2 csugar

1 1/2 capplesauce

1 lgegg
-
1/4 cbutter or margarine, melted

1/4 tspnutmeg
- TOPPING

3 Tbspsugar

1/4 tspcinnamon

How To Make applesauce muffins by sharon

1Muffin Directions: Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray or grease muffin cups.

2If using nuts, dust them with flour. Then, stir together all dry ingredients in muffin section. Mix applesauce, egg, and melted butter. Pour all at once, into flour mixture. Stir, just until moistened. Pour batter into greased muffin cups.

3Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes 12 muffins.

4Topping Directions: Combine all dry ingredients. Dips tops of hot baked muffins in melted butter; then, in sugar mixture. Serve warm.
