These are yummy biscuits, based on a Paula Deen recipe. Easy!

Ingredients

1 pkg
yeast
1/2 c
lukewarm water
5 c
all-purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
kosher salt
1 Tbsp
baking powder
2 Tbsp
sugar
3/4 c
crisco shortening
2 c
buttermilk

Step-By-Step

1Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
2Dissolve the yeast in warm water.
3Mix the dry ingredients together.
4Cut in the shortening.
5Add the yeast mixture and buttermilk. Mix well.
6Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to the desired thickness. Cut with a small biscuit cutter and place on a greased cookie sheet.
7Bake for about 12 minutes - or until they are gold en brown!
