2 large Apples (peeled, cored and in 8 slices)

2 tablespoons Whiskey
3/4 cup Granulated sugar
3/4 cup Dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
pinch of Salt
12 ounces Lemon Lime Soda
