Ingredients

INGREGIENTS FOR MANCHURIAN

3 c
cabbae finely chopped
1 c
carrots, grated
1/2 c
onion finely chopped
1/4 c
corn flour
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1/4 Tbsp
red chili powder
salt to taste
oil for deep frying

INGREDIENTS FOR SAUCE

1/2 c
spring onion chopped
1 Tbsp
garlic finely chopped
2 Tbsp
green chillies chopped
2 Tbsp
ginger finely chopped
1 Tbsp
corn flour
1 c
water
1 Tbsp
soy sauce
1 Tbsp
tomato sauce
1 Tbsp
oil
salt to taste

Step-By-Step

1METHOD FOR MANCHURIAN:
Heat oil in a deep fry.
2In the meanwhile,combine all the ingredients adding just a little water if required.
3divide the mixture into 15-20 balls of bite size.
4add about 5 balls (or the amount your deep fryer hold)at a time into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
5remove from oil and drain in pepper towels.fry the remaining balls the similar way and keep aside.
6METHOD FOR SAUCE:
Mix the corn flour with 1/4 cup of water.add soy sauce,tomato sauce and salt.
7Heat oil in a frying pan on high heat.add garlic,ginger,green chillies,spring onions and stir fry for a few seconds.
8add the cornflour mixture to the above and cook for a few minutes until thick and the corn flour is cooked.
9SERVING THE MANCHURIAN WITH SAUCE:
Just before serving ,put the fried manchurian in the sauce and stir fry on high heat for few minutes.
Garnish with spring onions,coriander leaves and serve hot.
