Ingredients

10 oz
broccoli spears, frozen
2 Tbsp
butter
1 c
mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp
onion, grated
2 Tbsp
flour
1/4 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
1 c
milk
1 c
sharp cheddar cheese, grated
paprika

Step-By-Step

1Defrost frozen broccoli and place in a shallow, 9-inch, heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish.

2In a small, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl, combine butter, mushrooms and onion.

3Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 3 minutes and stir occasionally.

4Blend flour and seasonings into butter-mushroom mixture.

5Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 3 minutes, stirring after 1 1/2 minutes.

6Gradually add milk, stirring until mixture is smooth.

7Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 3 minutes and stir every minute.

8Pour hot mushroom sauce over cooked broccoli.

9Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese and paprika.

10Heat, uncovered, 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
