You can use a mixer or a food processor works very well. Serve these with cream cheese or any dip.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

These little cheese crackers are so enjoyable! Serve them as an appetizer with a spreadable cheese or as a savory accompaniment to a nice salad.

Ingredients

8 oz
finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c
butter, melted
1 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1 Tbsp
sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp
water

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine cheese and buter until well blended.

Add flour,sugar,salt,and cayenne blend until well mixed.

Add water and mix until mixture comes together and forms a dough.

Knead dough until smooth.

Form into a ball, divide in half, and shape each half into an 8 inch log.

Wrap each log in plastic wrap and chill 2 hours.

Remove dough logs from refrigerator; slice into 1/4 inch disks and place on 2 baking sheets that are greased.

Poke a fork in the top a few times.

Bake 12-14 minutes at 375 degrees until just golden on the edge.

I made these. They came out more like flat little biscuits. I ate one and thought it was ok. Then I ate another. Then I ate even more. Then I realized that I really really liked them. Now I'm off to make a second batch. Little suckers are addictive.

Excellent. Try adding a few dashes of Ranch Dressing powder. Yum

I think I'll make more today with an Irish Dubliner cheese I have

Patricia I make these a lot, using Rhonda's recipe here, and I freeze it, the last time I made them though I rolled the dough out flat and cut it into squares with a knife, still same great taste. Rhonda I made these for my DIL's baby shower a few months ago, I ended up having to give the recipe to 9 ladies there, they had a fit over them, gave credit to you because I used your recipe.
