Ingredients

1 lb
hot italian sausage, casings removed
2-1/2 c
baking mix (i.e., bisquick)
3 c
freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 c
heavy cream

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the sausage, baking mix and cheese. Use your hands to roll into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each sausage ball with the heavy cream. Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
