bacon, cut into thirds
brown sugar (reserve 1 cup for top)
1Preheat oven to 375F. Cut the bacon into thirds and wrap each smokie.
2Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish.
3Melt butter and add 1 cup of the brown sugar (reserve the other cup for later) and stir until mixed well. Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture on the smokies and bacon.
4Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of brown sugar evenly over the top of the smokies.
5Bake for 20 minutes then turn the heat up to 400F for about 15-20 minutes or until the bacon becomes crispy. (I like mine really crispy and cook longer)
