I had heard that this dip was the first thing to be eaten at every party! I soon understood why...it was incredible! No wonder no one was moving from their spot near this tasty appetizer.

Ingredients For hot onion dip

    large, sweet onion, finely chopped or shredded
  • 3 (8oz) pkg
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 c
    grated parmesan cheese*
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise

How To Make hot onion dip

    Preheat oven to 400'F. Light grease 2 qt. souffle or casserole dish.

    Combine onions, cream cheese, grated parmesan, and mayonnaise in a large bowl; stir well. Transfer to prepared baking dish.

    Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

    Serve warm with tortilla chips, assorted crackers, melba toast or corn chips.

    *Substitute 1 c. shredded parmesan cheese (for 1 c. grated) for a "cheesier" texture.
