CAROL'S MEXICAN PIZZA

WE LOVED THIS PIZZA ANYTIME BUT LIKE TO CUT IT IN SMALL SQUARES FOR APPETIZERS. I WOULD DOUBLE THIS RECIPE FOR NEW YEARS EVE WITH THE FAMILY SITTING AROUND THE FIRE.

Ingredients

1 Tbsp
refrigerated pizza crust dough [ i use pillsburys]
2 Tbsp
cornmeal
1 lb
ground beef, cooked and drained
1 Tbsp
taco seasoning mix
7 oz
bottle taco sauce
1 1/2 c
shredded mexican or kolby jack cheese, divided
1 c
cheddar cheese, shredded- divided
1/4
green onions, sliced
1 can(s)
[2.25 oz]- sliced black olives, drained
1 can(s)
chopped green chiles, drained

Directions Step-By-Step

PREHEAT OVEN TO 425 DEGREES

AFTER DRAINING THE COOKED HAMBURGER, SPRINKLE AND STIR IN THE TACO SEASONING; SET ASIDE.

GREASE A 9X13 BAKING DISH; SPRINKLE WITH THE CORNMEAL.

PRESS DOUGH OUT INTO THE PREPARED PAN.
[IT'S MUCH EASIER TO PRESS A PILLSBURY DOUGH IN A 9X13,THEN TRYING TO FIT IT ON A ROUND PIZZA PAN].

SPREAD TACO SAUCE WITHIN 1 INCH OF EDGE.

SPRINKE WITH 1/2 OF MEXICAN AND CHEDDAR CHEESES.

TOP IN ORDER: THE HAMBURG, ONIONS, BLACK OLIVES AND CHILES.

SPRINKLE ON THE REMAINING CHEESES.

BAKE FOR 17-22 MINUTES OR UNTIL CRUST IS GOLDEN BROWN.

CUT INTO APPETIZERS OR SERVING PIECES.... ENJOY

NOTE: THO NOT MEXICAN, I ALSO LIKE TO ADD A CAN OF SLICED MUSHROOMS [4 OZ], DRAINED.
ALSO EXTRA CHEESE AT TIMES.
