Place the pastry in a baking dish. put the brie on top of it. then spread the cheese to cover it. pack down the brown sugar and then the almonds.. press them in.
Wrap the pastry around the cheese closing it up. if you have extra hanging off cut it and you can decorate the top. Then beat the egg and brush it on the pastry. Bake for 30 minutes at 350. let rest for about 10 minutes. Put it on a pretty platter and serve with crusty bread and some grapes. During the holidays I like to add somecranberris when i add the nuts.
