Lynnda's Story

Pop these bacon flavored snacks in the oven as guests arrive so they can enjoy a hot appetizer.

one package cream cheese with chives and onion, 8 ounces
1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese, 2 ounces
1/4 cup finely chopped natural almonds, toasted
3 tablespoons orange marmalade
24 slices bacon
48 rectangular shaped butter crackers

Directions Step-By-Step

mix first four ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well. Cover and chill thoroughly.
Cook bacon in batches in a large skillet over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Drain well on paper towels. Spread one level tablespoon cheese mixture on each of 24 crackers. Top each with another cracker. Wrap a slice of bacon around each cracker stack, overlapping bacon on bottom. Place, seam side down, on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve at once. Makes two dozen
