Oh my gosh, these are good and so easy. Use your imagination. I stumbled upon this recipe after realizing just how many cake mixes I had in my pantry. I love the flavor the cream cheese gives it. I'm a chocolate chip fiend, so I used a Duncan Hines French Vanilla cake mix and a small package of chocolate chips.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Deliciously sweet and buttery! We used a butter cake mix and added chocolate chips. This, along with the cream cheese, turned these cookies into the ultimate sweet treat. Seriously good!

Ingredients

1 box
cake mix, any flavor
8 oz
cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 c
butter, room temperature
1
large egg
1 tsp
vanilla (optional, depending on flavor)
1 c
any add-ins (flavored chips, candy, nuts, etc) amounts can be varied. for chocolate chip i added a 12 oz bag of semisweet chips

I have tried several variations of this recipe. It is so easy. The best combo thus far has been Duncan Hines lemon supreme cake mix and white chocolate chips. Delicious! The consistency is definitely cake-like, which I don't mind at all. One of my favorite cookie recipes!

Sherry this recipe is amazing. It is so simple and delicious. My husband absolutely loves t hem. My son who doesn't really eat too many sweets wanted to know where I got this recipe and ate about 5 or 6 . I made them with yellow cake mix and chocolate chips, great combination. Thanks for this recipe. It's a KEEPER. Sincerely Joanne

These tastes wonderful, however it took a few batches for me to get it right. The key is to take them out a little early. I took them out when I started to see the tops get a little brown. They may look slightly gooey, but with the cream cheese, they are supposed to be that way!

I used vanilla cake mix and added dark chocolate chips and craisins! So yummy!
