Ingredients
| 1 c | vegetable shortening |
| 2 c | brown sugar, lightly packed |
| 1 1/2 c | granulated sugar |
| 3 c | creamy peanut butter |
| 1 tsp | vanilla extract |
| 6 | eggs |
| 4 tsp | baking soda |
| 9 c | old-fashioned oats |
| 2 c | m & ms |
| 2 c | chocolate chips |

Directions
Preheat oven 375 degrees.
Cream together the shortening and both sugars.Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.Beat in eggs.Stir in baking soda and oats.Mix in M & Ms and chocolate chips.Using teaspoon, spoon mounded dough onto cookie sheet.Bake 7-9 minutes. Allow to cool some before removing from cookie sheet and transferring to plate.

Hi Jodie, I would imagine Butter Flavored Crisco would be fine since the original recipe called for butter. If you want to divide the recipe into a smaller "test" batch to be sure, I think that would be a good idea. I almost always replace butter with Crisco shortening as I feel the cookies are less apt to burn and be too thin. It also gives them great texture. Hope you have a chance to make them and please let me know how they turn out for you.

You just use oatmeal instead of flour. They are very yummy!! My mom said she didnt have enough oatmeal to make these one time so she did use 1/2 flour & 1/2 oatmeal. She said they were still good. I figure they are better for ya since they have all oatmeal! lol!
