Ingredients
- 4 ounces uncooked fettuccine
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Romano cheese
- 2 - egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (amount depends on your taste)
- dash - nutmeg
How To Make fettuccine alfredo

Step 1Cook fettuccine according to package directions. *Make sure to salt the pasta cooking water for flavor.

Step 2Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat.

Step 3Whisk in cream, cheeses, egg yolks, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Step 4Cook and stir over medium-low heat until hot to the touch, but not boiling (thermometer will read 160 degrees).

Step 5Drain fettuccine.

Step 6Pour sauce over pasta and grate some Parmesan over the top.
