Missy Wimpelberg Recipe

Prep Time:
No-Cook or Other

This is the best guacamole I have ever tried. If you like your guacamole with a little kick, this is the one for you. Serve it some chips or add to your taco salad. (If you do not like tomatoes you can leave out).

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
This guac is not for the faint of heart, but it sure is delicious! I love the fresh taste of the lime juice and Serrano pepper. Next time I make it, I'm totally doubling the recipe. Yummy, indeed!

1 large
juice from 1/2 of a lime
1/8 c
chopped cilantro
1/4 c
onion, finely chopped
1 large
garlic clove, finely chopped
1 large
serrano chili, seeded and chopped
1/4 tsp
1/4 small
tomato, finely chopped

Directions Step-By-Step

Using fork, mash avocado with lime juice in small bowl. Add cilantro, chopped onion, tomato, chopped garlic, Serrano chilies and salt and stir to combine.

I like this Guacamole exactly as written and have prepared it the same. One little hint that I learned about 50 years ago (I am quite old:-)) is that the smaller the onion, the more mild the flavor, I have found this to be true with all onions, red, yellow and white. In our super markets the smaller ones are usually hard to find so try growing a few of your own, so easy....

Do the same with the strainer and cold water H2o garlic for a milder taste. The garlic is a must for our So. Cal. family. !
