Maven's Notes:
I made these sweet little cookies for my friend's baby shower (along with the other tasty treats you see in the background!) They were a huge hit with the kids in attendance, and the adults loved them as well!!

Directions
Place 1/4 cup frosting in each of two small bowls. Tint one red and the other yellow. Frost the bottoms of 20 vanilla wafers yellow; top with a peppermint patty.
Spread with red frosting. Brush tops of the remaining vanilla wafers with corn syrup; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place over red frosting.
Note: I don't always keep corn syrup on hand, so I often substitute honey instead. Works great.

My kids don't normally like the sesame seeds so I just omitted them! So cute!

Coconut shreds make great onions for your burgers, add a little green color and they pass for lettuce!

We made these in our bakery every year and used them as cupcake deco.....split wafers in half and pipe pink down middle then drizzle w/ red n yellow gels and they make adorable "hot dog" cupcake toppers too...

I make these too. I also use coconut with green food coloring. I use Keebler grasshopper cookies instead of the peppermint patties.
