I got this receipe from my Daughter's grandmother. It is absolutely incredible.

This is a very moist cake!  If I close my eyes while eating it, the aroma almost makes me feel as though I'm eating fresh strawberries.  There's no better endorsement than that!

My son and his wife love this cake. I get to use my frozen fresh picked strawberries and its juice in this cake and i think that makes a difference. Very yummy

Our family loves this cake. I make a similar version with a strawberry cake mix, cut the veg oil in half and add 1/2 c of real mayo to the cake mix, fresh mashed strawberries w/out added sugar, and 3 eggs instead of the 4. I use three 9" cake pans and bake at 350 for 28 min. Frost with a cream cheese frosting with additional mashed strawberries. This is such a beautiful, rich, and moist cake that always gets rave reviews!

Thank you for your responses. As i guessed it, i screwed it up. I let it cool and when i tried to take it out of the pan it fell apart. Needless to say i did too. I guess im going to try it again, but i dont know what i did wrong. Stupid question, do i grease a non stick pan? I told you all i dont bake. I just want to be able to decorate the entire cake and not leave it in the pan. Thank you.
