Ingredients

  • 5 - chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 - yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 - carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 dash freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup frozen green peas
  • 2 packages refrigerated flaky biscuit dough, cut in quarters

How To Make easy slow cooker chicken & dumplings

  • Step 1
    In a 5-qt. crockpot, combine chicken, butter, soups, black pepper, onions, carrots and water, stirring until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Cook on high about 5-6 hours. About 45 minutes before serving, add the peas and quartered biscuit pieces and stir well. Cook an additional 40-45 minutes or until dumpling pieces are done.
