Ingredients

1 pkg	oreos, regular size
1 pkg	mini oreos, for decoration
1 pkg	chocolate cake mix/ mix according to directions on box
8 oz	cream cheese, room temperature
8 Tbsp	butter, room temperature
3 3/4 c	powdered sugar
1 tsp	vanilla extract
	cupcake liners

As the name implies, these cupcakes are to die for! They're just the right amount of sweet and salty, and make for an absolutely adorable presentation on the table. Some of the Kitchen Crew was even heard to say that these are the best cupcakes they'd ever had!!

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Mix packaged cake mix according to directions. (Do not bake.)

Line cupcake tins with liner, place an regular size oreo cookie in the bottom of each one

Take 1/2 of remaining cookies and chop coarsely and add to cake mix. Fill the cupcake tins. Bake for 15 min (or according to box directions). While cupcakes are baking make the frosting.

Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add vanilla, then add powdered sugar slowly until blended well.

Chop remaining regular-sized Oreos very fine. Add to frosting.

After cupcakes are cool put frosting on and decorate with a few mini oreos on top

I tried these...awesome...best cupcakes I've ever had and I am not a cupcake fan! And, with the oreo cookie angle, I was reaching for a cold glass of milk to go with them...yum!

Thanks for the comments...my husband comes from a large family and i brought them to the last get togather and they were the first dessert gone. My kids were whinning because they didnt get any lol.

Debbie, the cupcakes were awesome.I made them today for my grandkids after school snack. They were very suprised when they took a bite and found a oreo cookie on the bottom. Needless to say I have to go shopping for more supplies to make them again !!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
