My, what a refreshing spring cake! The cherry flavor is just right and doesn't overwhelm the dessert. Highly recommended!

Directions

HEAT OVEN TO 350*.. BEAT CAKE MIX AND BUTTER UTNIL CRUMBLY(RESERVE 1 CUP)

PRESS INTO 9X13" PAN. BEAT CREAM CHEESE,EGGS, AND FROSTING MIX TOGETHER.

POUR OVER CRUST..TOP WITH RESERVED CRUMBS. BAKE 45 MINUTES.. COOL..AND REFRIGERATE, AT LEAST 2 HOURS OR MORE

CUT IN 4x6 ROWS, THEY ARE SO RICH, YOU WON'T NEED TO CUT ANY LARGER...YUMMY...

Cherry Chip Cake mix is made by Betty Crocker as well as their ready made cherry frosting.... Any store that sells Betty Crocker cake mixes has the ability to get this... If they don't have it, collar the manager and make a request for them.... I had to do the same thing for Duncan Hines orange cake mixes.....Thanks so much for posting this recipe..... I think it could be used in other combos also....

Hi Tammy - Loved this recipe but I couldn't find the cherry mix and icing either so I substituded strawberry cake mix and frosting and everyone just loved it and it tastes delicious! I'll continue to look for the cherry. Thanks for sharing

I'm sorry Nancy... didn't understand the time sequence of comments....Happy Hunting.... isn't it disgusting when the stores don't carry things we need, and the needs aren't that far out... I have a hard time finding Duncan Hines Orange cake mix.... I hound my Albertson's market.... I also went looking for Pillsbury Hot roll mix.... I guess that doesn't exist any longer. Yikes, guess I'm outdated...heheheeee
