Ingredients

1 1/2 c finely crushed pretzels
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c melted butter
(2) 14 oz cans eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
3 large eggs, beaten
1/2 c freshly squeezed lime juice (4 limes)
1 tsp orange juice
1 Tbsp grated lime peel
powdered sugar
cool whip
lime slices

This is a lovely choice for a hot summer day! The tart, creamy bar plays perfectly off of the salty pretzel crust. So refreshing!!

 

Directions

Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13 x 9-inch baking pan with wax paper.

Combine pretzels, granulated sugar and butter in medium bowl; mix well. Press crumb mixture firmly
onto bottom of prepared pan.

Bake crust for 7 to 10 minutes.

Mix sweetened condensed milk, eggs, lime juice, orange juice and lime peel in large bowl;
pour evenly over crust.

BAKE 25 minutes. Cool. Chill.

May garnish with powdered sugar, whipped topping and lime slices before serving. Cut into bars.

You may want to add a little more lime juice & peel if you like it really tart!

OK thanks...ya we used to go to Marie Callenders sp restaurant and have brunch I always got her Key Lime Pie because it was tart....thanks

In directions you said to line pan with wax paper, then bake pretzel crust. You dont bake with wax paper? confused

You don't have to line it with anything. You can use parchment paper.
