My husband never liked Thanksgiving types of food until he tasted my sweet potato casserole. He couldn't get enough. Can be made ahead and baked at the last minute.

Ingredients For sweet potato casserole

3 cmashed sweet potatoes (fresh or canned)

2 lgeggs

1/4 cbutter, softened

1/2 cwhite sugar

1/2 cmilk

1 dashsalt

1 tsppure vanilla extract

1/2 call purpose flour
-
1/2 cbrown sugar

1 cchopped pecans (may use walnuts)

1/4 cbutter
How To Make sweet potato casserole

1Combine sweet potatoes, eggs, sugar milk, salt, 1/4 cup butter and vanilla. Spread in greased shallow casserole dish. Combine flour, brown sugar, and remaining 1/4 cup butter to make crumbs. Sprinkle on potato mixture. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. (May make to this point and refrigerate). Bake at 350f 45 minutes. If made ahead, bake 1 hour. Serve hot.
