Ingredients For corn tamale bake

  • 1 lg
    onion
  • 1 slice
    green pepper, chopped
  • 3 clove
    garlic
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 3 c
    canned tomatoes
  • 1 box
    frozen corn ( can also used canned or bag of frozen)
  • 1/4 c
    chopped olives
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne or paprika
  • 3/4 c
    corn meal
  • salt to taste

How To Make corn tamale bake

  • 1
    In a skillet saute till tender the onion, green pepper, garlic and oil. Add the rest of the ingredients.

    Simmer in skillet, covered for 1 hour. Stir occasionally and add a little water if it gets too thick. (Up to 3/4 cup water). Put in baking dish to warm over.
