1 cdry navy beans

3/4 lbpolish sausage links

1 ctomato juice

1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

2 tspinstant beef bouillon granules

1/2 tspdried basil, crushed

1/2 tspdried oregano, crushed

1/2 tsppaprika

1/2 cfinely chopped carrot

1/2 cchopped onion

1/2 cchopped celery

12 1/2 to 3 lb ready to cook, broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
How To Make chicken cassoulet, crock pot style

1Rinse beans; place in saucepan with 1 quart of water. Bring to boiling. Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours. Transfer to a bowl; cover and chill overnight. Drain beans.

2Halve sausage. Mix beans, sausage, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, bouillon granules, basil, oregano, paprika, and 1 teaspoon salt. Set aside.

3Place carrot, celery, and onion in crock pot. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, place in crock pot. Pour bean mixture atop; press beans down into liquid.

4Cover; cook on low heat setting for 7 hours, or until done. Remove meat. Mash bean mixture slightly; serve in soup bowls with meat.
