My sister in law, Kitt, served this to her family and it was the dish they requested for Thanksgiving dinner. She shared much of her kitchen knowledge with me because she wanted her brother to eat well. Yes, I know – it doesn't have any tomatoes. This recipe actually came from Aunt Kitt's next door neighbor who was from Italy, and assured us that not ALL Italian recipes use tomatoes.
