Ingredients For reuben casserole

    drained sauerkraut
  • 1/4 tsp
    caraway seeds
  • 1
    tomato, cut in thin slices
  • 5 Tbsp
    1000 island dressing
  • 3/4 lb
    thinly sliced corned beef or pastrami
  • 4-5
    slices swiss cheese or 1/2 cup shredded
  • 2
    slices deli rye bread processed into soft crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped

How To Make reuben casserole

  • 1
    Put drained sauerkraut in a casserole dish. Sprinkle caraway seeds over the top.

    Layer tomatoes, salad dressing, and meat over sauerkraut in that order.
  • 3
    Top with cheese. Toss bread crumbs in butter that has been melted and mixed with the parsley, and sprinkle on top of the casserole. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
