This is delicious for a cool autumn dessert served with hot spiced tea or warm apple cider.

Ingredients For apple pudding cake

  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 lg
    firm apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 c
    hot apple cider

How To Make apple pudding cake

    Mix 3/4 cup brown sugar,and rest of dry ingredients; place in 9" baking pan, lightly greased.

    Stir together milk, oil and vanilla . Add & mix together with the dry ingredients in pan until blendeds.

    Stir in apple. Sprinkle with rest of the brown sugar.

    Pour hot cider slowly over batter. Do not stir !

    Bake in oven heated to 350 degrees 30-35 minutes until cake layer forms on top.. Cool slightly before serving.
