Ingredients For oatmeal cookies

1 stickbutter, softened

1/2 cgranulated sugar

1/2 clight brown sugar

1 tspvanilla
-
1egg
-
1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
3/4 cuncooked old fashioned whole grain oats (not quick cooking!)

1 call purpose flour
How To Make oatmeal cookies

1Cream together butter and sugars

2Add vanilla and egg and stir until blended

3Add baking powder, baking soda, and salt and stir until blended

4Add oats and stir until blended

5Add flour and stir until thoroughly mixed

6Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease cookie sheet

7Roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut that is still in the shell - smaller size will be a smaller cookie

8Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart

9Lightly grease a flat bottomed glass

10Dip glass in sugar then gently press the dough; do this step twice for each dough ball

11Bake on greased cookie sheet 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

12Store tightly covered for up to 2 weeks
