OMG ... this is scary. Cuz I keep asking steve if this can come back to bite ME in any way, since I never knew him until 2006. He assured me that the tax specialist says NO! But, the IRS will try anything, and they definitely have already tried to use some scare tactics on us. Don't know how you do it, arguing w/ those idiots all the time. THEY don't even know their own tax code ... and they impose it on us, picking and choosing what's convenient for them to go after. Grrrrr.....
Very wise of you to let a specialist handle it - I will be in tax court next week to represent a client that came to me after she received a notice about her deceased husband. The IRS is holding her responsible for a $14,000 dollar tax bill. Poor thing had nothing to do with it and another of my clients told her to come see me. I've been fighting them for over a year now - then I requested a court hearing to settle it. I'll win - they bet on people giving up.
Nope, still have the crud. But it gets a little better each day. Just the 'dregs' now ... constantly blowing my nose and I have that irritating, dry cough that won't go away.

We're being audited ... UGH! We haven't filed for 2010 yet, we're gonna get thru the audit first. This has been going on since last summer. OMG ... they are RELENTLESS!! And they're auditing all the way back to 2001 (Steve, not me), and it is a real pain. We turned it over to a professional CPA whose job is to do nothing but FIGHT w/ the IRS on our behalf. Yuck ... .can't imagine a worse job. :o/ We'll get it sorted out .. or HE will, that is .. for a very nice price, too, I might add. He ain't cheap! Sheesh...
Thanks Terrie - I needed encouragement about 3:00 am Sunday - I was exhausted when I hit the bed! Between taxes & baking I am getting slammed. This is just what I needed, good therapy for me. How are you doing? I sure hope you've kicked "the crud".
I made the piggies with sugar gum paste and painted them with edible ink & gel - all handmade. I told her today that she can take them off the cake, put them on a shelf & they will last for years. Or, she can eat them... She liked the way I made it look like one of the pigs had stolen a carrot from the garden & of course the watermelon. The other cake I did this weekend was a "Playboy Bunny Cake" - too cute!!
