Okay, I have a rule, when company's coming or it is a big occasion, don't try new recipes! It was my husband's 60th birthday...company was coming and he LOVES chocolate!! I wondered about this recipe without eggs and if it would rise. Surely the eggs in the may took care of that. It was PERFECT! Our grandkids asked for seconds and usually they want more ICE CREAM! They asked if we could send cake home with them! My husband was helping to gather dishes afterwards and I caught him eating the crumbs off the cake server! I'd say it was quite a hit! I've been cooking and baking for years and this is probably the best chocolate cake I've tried in over a decade!
