For those asking…
I never use elbows in this recipe because it’s too much pasta and a poor blend in my opinion. I created this recipe and felt the ditalini was lighter than whole elbows. ❤️ aim so good so many love it. It’s one of our absolute favorites.

This has been in my family for years. We have it at just about every summer BBQ. 90% of the time it is elbo mac that is used. But once in a while someone gets adventerous and will try something different. It still taste the same good good good. I even use dried cranberrys and green apples. Instead of green peps and onions.

The kitchen crew added this picture to the recipe. Obviously they used elbow mac. I guess that they don't always follow the recipe exactly. That's why the elbows are in this pic. 9/9/13
